Aeronautical Engineering Services – EASA CVE (Safety) Services for the ARL – LUS-222 – Program

Description of tasks/services to be contracted and Required Qualifications

  • Implementation of Development Assurance System
    • Implement the Development Assurance System (DAS) and associated DOA (Design Organization Approval) procedures.
    • Act as CVE (Compliance Verification Engineer) for DAS (Panel 10).
    • Support the implementation of tools for the DAS, including ReqView and Specification Control Document.
  • Safety Assessment
    • Implement DOA procedures for safety assessment.
    • Lead Aircraft Functional Hazard Analysis (AFHA) as CVE.
    • Lead Preliminary Aircraft Safety Assessment (PASA) as CVE.
    • Support Aircraft Functional Hazard Analysis (AFHA).
    • Support Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA) in:
      • Hydromechanical systems
      • Electrical systems
      • Avionics systems
      • Propulsion systems
      • Environmental control systems
    • Act as CVE for Aircraft Safety Assessment (Panel 12).
  • Safety analysis techniques
    • Develop procedures for:
      • FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)
      • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
      • PRA (Probabilistic Risk Assessment)
      • ZSA (Zonal Safety Analysis)
    • Support engineering in the application of these techniques.
    • Management and involvement with certification authorities

Additional requirements/preferential

  • Experience in aircraft certification processes and regulatory liaison
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with Part-21J and information security frameworks
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in similar role

Place where services will be delivered

  • Remote work or in office – Évora, with possibility for occasional trips
