Aeronautical Engineering Services – EASA CVE (Avionics) Services for the ARL – LUS-222 – Program
Description of tasks/services to be contracted and Required Qualifications
- Analyze and review avionics system design documentation.
- Verify compliance with EASA regulations including CS-23, CS-AWO, CS-ACNS, and other applicable standards.
- Review and prepare certification documentation.
- Liaise with EASA P6 and HMI experts throughout the Type Certificate process.
- Support the development team in analyzing and capturing functional requirements, including customer discussions.
- Guide and mentor the avionics engineering team during development, maintaining the independence required for a CVE.
- Assist in technical discussions with suppliers to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Integrate ISMS into the DOA Manual, ensuring alignment with the organization’s safety and quality systems.
- Interpret applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in drafting processes and documentation to support DOA compliance.
- Support interactions with the certification authority.
Requisitos adicionais/preferenciais - Deep expertise in avionics systems and EASA certification standards (CS-23, CS-AWO, CS-ACNS).
- Experience in aircraft certification processes and regulatory liaison.
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Part-21J and information security frameworks (Part-IS).
- Must have previously served as a CVE within an EASA-approved DOA.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in avionics certification and compliance.

- Remote work or in office – Évora, with possibility for occasional trips
